Flying Pan takes off in São Paulo

The famous Brazilian Rio Carnival came a little bit early this year. It took place in São Paulo instead as the dream of combining Flying Pan and Brazil has now become a reality. In late January 2012, the 1st Flying Pan of the South American continent opened in Moema, São Paulo, only a five-minute walk from popular Ibirapuera Avenue. Brazilian master franchisees Alexis de Font-Réaulx and Grégory Jacques-Aumérégie can be proud of their achievement as locals gathered to party for the opening night under joyful tunes of Brazilian music. Indeed it was full house on 26 January 2012 when locals and friends celebrated the 1st Flying Pan of Brazil and enjoyed tasty crêpe delights in a warm, colorful and very unique café design.

Mr Laurent Corgnet, a director of BFC Retail Group and CEO of Flying Pan in the Americas was present with the franchisor’s training team, John Schmitt & Sarah Feldman, to support the master franchisees and congratulate them on their first great realization:

“Alexis and Grégory have done a wonderful job; the café looks fantastic and the Brazilians are going to love our quality fresh foods and international flair that this unique café brings to the already colorful city of São Paulo.” Said Corgnet.

Now that the gloves are off, and the real Carnival in Rio is over, Alexis and Grégory forge forward to make their first café a well-known and talked about trendy place in São Paulo with future plans to open a second café in late 2012 or start of 2013.

Flying Pan hopes to move the hearts & bellies of South and North Americans alike as 2012 sees openings in both parts of the American continent. Delightful savory and sweet crêpes, gourmet beverages and tasty café fare savored in a unique international ambiance are no longer reserved to Middle Eastern and Australian patrons of The Crêpe Café. The Age of Crêpes has started in the New World too!
